'Su e Zo per i Ponti' foot race in Venice
Su e Zo per i Ponti" (up and down the bridges) is a non-competitive race open to everyone: for the young and the not so young, families and schools. A fascinating 10-km course that takes off from Saint Mark and unwinds through the narrow streets and squares around the city, going around the less-known areas of Venice, arriving full circle at the finish line in Saint Mark's Square.
Registration is open for all age categories and to groups of all types. There are two courses: the standard one of 10 Km, and for the small ones a 5 Km course.
Participants gather at Saint Mark's Square on April 13th at 9.30 am where they will be organized according to the type of course they have selected. The start of the race will be at 10 am from Ponte della Paglia (corner of Ducal Palace). At the end of the race there will be a prize awarded for the largest group and a parade of folk groups in Saint Marks's Square. Groups coming from far can register for "Su e Zo per i Ponti" by fax, mail or e-mail by contacting the general coordination center.
